This guide will show you how to fish for the S-rank skills you need and make the most of your pet investments.

The Common Mistake Players Make

Most players go through the standard pet process:

  • Collect pet tickets

  • Summon pets

  • Pray for the S-rank skill you want

  • Release all A, B, C, and D unwanted pets for currency

While this method is straightforward, it wastes a ton of opportunities to get the skills you actually need. The key is understanding how to maximize every summon by leveraging pet synergy and evolution.

Step-by-Step: How to Maximize Your Pets

Here’s how to properly use your unwanted pets to significantly increase your chances of getting S-rank skills:

1. Level and Synergize Pets Without Selecting Skills

  • Pick a junk pet and level it up.

  • Synergize it with another junk pet but do not select any skills. This gives you two new skill rolls.

  • Repeat this process with all your trash pets.

Cost Analysis:

  • Upgrading a 1-star pet costs 6 Crystal of Memory.

  • Synergizing costs 1 Crystal of Memory per pet.

  • Total: 8-9 spent, but when you release it, you get 8 currency back.

  • Net cost: 1 currency and some gold for two extra chances at an S tier skill.

2. You Can Take It Further with Three-Star Pets

  • Once you have a 2-star junk pet, level it and synergize it with another 2-star junk pet.

  • Again, do not select any skills during synergy.

  • Pay 5 currency to guarantee the synergy success.

Cost Analysis:

  • Two 2-star pets = 8 currency each

  • Leveling to 3-star = 12 currency

  • Synergy guarantee = 5 currency

  • Total cost: 33 currency

  • Selling the pet back returns 30 currency

  • Net cost: 3 currency and some gold for two more skill chances.

3. Push to Four-Star Pets for Even More Chances

  • Take your 3-star junk pet, level it, and synergize it with another 3-star junk pet.

  • This gives three more skill rolls.

Cost Analysis:

  • Two 3-star pets = 33 currency each

  • Leveling = 20 currency

  • Synergy guarantee = 40 currency

  • Selling the pet back returns 120 currency

Choosing the Right Skills for Your Pets

Adventure

  • Event Currency + Double AP + Rare Catalyst

Spirit Altar

  • 3 additional Common runes, 2 additional Greater Runes, 1 additional Epic Rune.

Hunt Pets

  • Additional Lesser Charm, 1 additional piece of Equipment, Chance to double Crafting Materials.

  • New players can swap out Charm for Reforge Materials, but should create a Charm pet at some point as it's generally better for end game.

Rift Pets

  • Additional Lesser Charm, 1 additional piece of Equipment, Reforge Materials.
  • Additional Lesser Charm, 1 additional piece of Equipment, Double Rift Energy.
  • Both of these are good and ideally you can create an SSS version of both and once you max your RC level, swap the double energy for the reforge materials.

Lobby Pets

  • Equipment Good Success Chance, Equipment Great Success Chance are mandatory for your lobby pet.

  • + Equipment Enhance EXP and -% Equipment Enhance Cost are good third options depending on if you're low on charms or low on gold.

  • Avoid hero EXP boosting skills—they only help penguin efficiency, which isn't a big issue.

Pro Tip: Get your lobby pet to 5-star ASAP. At 5-star, its daily gift has a chance to be a blue box, which can be very valuable.
