How to Build a Winning Team for Champions

Created by jawadarfan10 on Oct 12, 2025

Focus on flexibility, not just power Don’t lean too heavily on a single strategy. Have backup options in case common counters arise.

**Prioritize speed and disruption** **Before power, being able to act first or interrupt your opponent can turn games. Early meta may favor these styles.**
**Balance your team roles** **A well-rounded team might look like: one sweeper, one tank, one support, one disruptor, one buffer, one wildcard.**
**Test in simulations and mock battles** **Use your Pokémon team builder to simulate matchups. Try switching one or two Pokémon and see how it impacts your win chances.**
**Watch early tournaments and meta reports** **The first few Champions tournaments will set the meta tone. Adjust your builds fast based on results.**
**Example: Suppose an Electric/Steel type is dominating early play. You might include a Ground or Fire type as a counter. A team builder tool can let you test that inclusion and see how your team builder Pokémon score changes.**
